WHAT IS AN AU PAIR?
An au pair will typically be a young woman and sometimes a young man from a foreign country who chooses to help look after the children of a host family and provide light housekeeping. The au pair typically works with a family in the United States for up to one year.

PRE-REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PROGRAM:
• Have previous childcare experience .
• Be between the ages of 18 and 26 .
• Be a secondary school graduate (high school) or equivalent .
• Be proficient in spoken English .
• Have no criminal record .
•Be in good health .
•Be able to commit to a 12-month position .

BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAM:

• Educational allowance of $500
• A weekly stipend of $170.00 per month.
• 2 weeks of paid vacation and 4 weeks to travel at the end of the year
• Medical and accident travel insurance for the duration of your program
• Round-trip airfare from your country to the New York area, and one-way airfare to your host community
